FOREIGN EXCHANGE PRODUCT MANAGER

The successful candidate will be responsible for guiding the development and ongoing management of the product roadmap of our newly launched FX module. You will work alongside our sales team to assess and recommend enhancements and additional product features, with the goal of expanding the current customer base and accelerating adoption of the SaaS platform. The role also requires you to conduct research through various methods including client meetings, surveys, and market analysis. You will assist the sales team with marketing and training materials to announce new product features and enhancements.

Additional responsibilities envisioned include: periodically producing white papers to be distributed to clients and prospects (eg trade recommendations and explanation of the benefits and support provided by Derivative Path) and maintaining documentation relevant to the products supported in DerivativeEDGETM.

Ideally this candidate will be located in our Walnut Creek office, but we can be flexible for the right candidate.

 

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Foreign Exchange Sales or Operations at a financial institution and/or a software vendor in a product management role.

  • Detailed understanding of the complete FX lifecycle, including electronic trading, liquidity platforms, execution, confirmation/matching, settlements, accounting and reconciliations.

  • Understanding of the challenges of payment processing, including correspondent banks, Nostro management and payment mechanisms such as SWIFT, Fedwire, ACH. OFAC/BSA/AML regulations.

  • Experience with Dodd-Frank regulations related to FX Derivatives.

  • Strong communication and writing skills.

  • Understanding of math and statistics, knowledge of calculus, engineering, programming skills, experience modeling with data and good problem-solving ability.

  • Prior experience with Interest Rate Derivative and Foreign Exchange models and analytics.

  • Demonstrated ability to work with financial engineers and developers to produce requirements and manage the process from inception to production roll out of new features.

  • Strong logical and analytical skills.

  • Effective analysis of problems and providing solutions.

  • Experience with low latency applications and or trading applications a plus.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with clients, auditors and regulators.

  • Program / Project Management experience.

  • Agile development experience a plus.

INTEREST RATE DERIVATIVES SALES

This is a client-facing role where you will have the opportunity to gain broad exposure to various aspects of the interest rate derivatives business. The primary responsibilities of the position involve the coverage of existing clients. You will be expected to provide support to relationship managers in ongoing marketing efforts, modeling and execution of hedge transactions, and development of revenue-generating opportunities to be presented to bank treasury teams.

 

Requirements

DERIVATIVE OPERATIONS SPECIALIST

The person in this role will handle many of the day to day operational responsibilities for the client derivative portfolios. The individual will play a critical role in helping the operations team to perform various functions related to derivative operations.

 

Responsibilities

  • Management and maintenance of the firm’s operations policies & procedures

  • Respond to client inquiries on operational issues

  • Develop and provide training for clients on an as-needed basis

  • Assist with client onboarding tasks

  • Operations related system demos and training for prospects and clients

  • Operational Functions including:

    • Resets, End of Day, Month end processing

    • New trade validation, GTR Reporting, Confirmations

    • Counterparty/Documentation Tracking & Maintenance

Required Skills

  • Experience with interest rate, FX, and commodity derivatives

HEDGE ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST

Participate in all client discussions on matters related to hedge accounting. Work with the technology team to develop, create, and modify models to be incorporated in DerivativeEDGETM our automated hedge accounting tool for clients.

 

Responsibilities

  • Be a client-facing hedge accounting consultant

  • Management of clients’ accounting policies & procedures

  • Become a subject matter expert in helping the technology team continue to develop the automatic hedge accounting tool

  • Help clients get ready for the changes in hedge accounting rules and keep our clients informed about how such changes will impact them

 

Required Skills

  • Experience with interest rate, FX, and commodity derivatives

  • Outstanding communication skills, both oral and written

Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or taxation

Master in business, accounting, or taxation preferred

Develop, create, and modify DerivativeEDGETM to build financial tools and create financial products. Design various financial models using a third-party analytics package. Use different computer programming languages, mathematics, and statistical methods. Improve the working of financial instruments and designs.
